Bio

Ashley J. Perna

As a meticulous and experienced legal professional pursuing paralegal licensure, I am actively seeking freelance or project-based opportunities to provide high-quality legal research support to legal teams. With a strong foundation in legal services, I excel at conducting comprehensive legal research, analyzing complex legal issues, and delivering clear, concise memoranda to support case strategies. A reliable self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills, I thrive both independently and collaboratively, ensuring timely and precise results that meet the unique needs of each legal project.

After over a decade of experience as a law clerk, and recognizing the value of continuing my education, I returned to school to pursue my Paralegal diploma. My goal was to advocate more directly for clients. Thanks to the incredible faculty at Loyalist College, I was able to further my skills and gain valuable experience appearing before Provincial Offences Court and the Landlord Tenant Board as a placement student. Additionally, I had the opportunity to conduct legal research on numerous issues for use in factums and submissions.
